Violet was rescued from the Baldwin Park / Los Angeles county animal shelter in January 2017 and was unable to walk. Camp Cocker Rescue took her immediately to an emergency specialty hospital to see a neurologist and get an MRI. Violet's MRI revealed a diagnosis that she had a major spinal injury that had not been treated for over 6 months, and her rear legs would not work at all.
Violet requires round the clock nursing care as well as daily physical therapy and she needs human assistance for going potty. Violet got so lucky to find a foster home with Nami, who does the hard physical work of caring for a dog that needs so much nursing care. We do the easy stuff of fundraising for Violet's medical bills and supplies and expenses.
