Violet was rescued from the Baldwin Park / Los Angeles county animal shelter in January 2017 and was unable to walk. Camp Cocker Rescue took her immediately to an emergency specialty hospital to see a neurologist and get an MRI. Violet's MRI revealed a diagnosis that she had a major spinal injury that had not been treated for over 6 months, and her rear legs would not work at all.
Violet requires round the clock nursing care as well as daily physical therapy and because she was not adoptable, Violet became a part of our Forever Foster Home program where all of her expenses are sponsored for life. Violet got so lucky to find a forever foster home with Nami, who does the hard physical work of caring for a dog that needs so much nursing care. We do the easy stuff of fundraising for Violet's medical bills and supplies and expenses.
